Avanti is a Special Needs Dentist, and is proud to be the first graduate of the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry Program in Special Needs Dentistry with the University of Sydney.

Over the last six years, Avanti has coordinated a Dental Phobia Clinic at Westmead Hospital in association with a clinical psychologist, and is excited to bring some of these skills to the private setting through The Dental Specialists.

She is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and is on the education committee of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Special Needs Dentistry, coordinating the undergraduate syllabus on Special Needs Dentistry. She is also a member of the Australian Association of Special Care Dentistry and Special Care Dentistry Association (USA), and has presented at several local and international conferences.
