27 September 2010 – The Dental Specialists – Inaugural Referrer Event

David Roessler, renowned at home and abroad for prosthodontics and public speaking, presented an entertaining and educational seminar at the Inaugural Referrer Event for The Dental Specialists.

The attendees, who numbered almost 150, were led on a fun-filled journey of discovery of the self as David revealed the secrets to effective communication with patients, partners and significant others. Whilst enjoying scrumptious canapés and a selection of drinks, many in the room were left contemplating their own communication styles and reflecting upon their impact on others.

David’s presentation, entitled “Paths from Abstraction: Communication 2010 – the Art of Being Understood” was but one aspect of an entertaining evening at the Art Gallery of New South Wales to launch The Dental Specialists to a select group of referrer dentists.

The Dental Specialist’s Inaugural Referrer Event featured a cocktail party in the stunning function centre at the Art Gallery of NSW, with spectacular views over Woolloomooloo Bay and the Finger Wharf. The cocktail party attracted dentists from far and wide and the large crowd of dentists and some partners clearly enjoyed catching up with old friends and colleagues.

Following David’s presentation, there were five Apple iPads given away via a lucky door prize draw. Dr. Mark Sinclair, President of the ADA (NSW Branch), drew out the lucky winners. The five iPad’s were donated by five quality suppliers, namely 3M ESPE, Heraeus, Kerr, Sirona and Henry Schein Halas.

The evening concluded with a private viewing of “Paths to Abstraction 1867 – 1917”, one of the most ambitious art exhibitions ever undertaken in NSW with over 140 works by influential artists of the modern era including works by Whistler, Cézanne, Monet, Seurat, Gauguin, Matisse, Picasso and many others. As the guests departed, there was a sense of anticipation as to when and where the next referrer event for The Dental Specialists would be held.
